Do I have to get on a video call?
You can start with written messages and photos. A dentist may recommend a live conversation or an in-person examination if more information is needed. You can ask about those next steps before deciding.
Am I talking to AI or a dentist?
The OneOral assistant can help you describe your concern and gather information. Clinical concerns can be connected to a licensed dentist for review and a dentist messaging thread or live consultation. The assistant is not a dentist and does not prescribe.
What if I’m embarrassed or haven’t been in years?
You can say exactly that. Share what you are comfortable sharing, including what makes dental visits difficult. Accurate information about your symptoms, history, medications, and habits helps your dentist guide your care. You do not need to know the right dental terms.
Can I send a photo of what’s bothering me?
Yes. Members can attach photos in their care conversation. Describe what you are noticing and when it started. A photo can help a dentist understand your concern, but it cannot show everything an examination or X-ray can. Some concerns need in-person care.
Can we talk through my saliva test results live?
Yes. When your OneOral Bio Test results are published, you can ask a dentist about them by message or choose a booked live results consultation. Bring questions about your report, what it may mean alongside your history, and the next steps in your care plan. Open your published report in the member portal to get started.
What is included in my membership?
Membership starts at $39/month and includes dentist messaging plus the toothpaste and rinse in your plan, delivered every 3 months. Testing, pharmacy costs, and in-person care are separate. Membership renews monthly until canceled.
Can my dentist send a prescription to a local pharmacy?
When clinically appropriate and permitted for your situation, a licensed dentist can send a prescription to your local pharmacy for pickup. Prescriptions are not guaranteed. Medication availability and pickup timing depend on the pharmacy, and pharmacy charges may apply.
Can this replace an in-person dentist?
Online care can help with questions, assessment, and follow-up. It does not replace examinations, X-rays, cleanings, or procedures when those are needed. Keep appointments and aftercare instructions from the dentist who performed your treatment.
