How it works

Three steps. All at home.

The whole routine was built by dentists. You answer a few questions and open the box — nothing on this list needs an office.

01

Answer a few questions

Your routine, your mornings, what you’ve already tried — answered from your couch, in less time than you spend brushing.

02

Treatment or maintenance

Your answers decide which of the two you start on — Treatment if your risk runs higher, Maintenance if it doesn’t. A licensed dentist reviews before anything prescription ships.

03

Your kit shows up

Everything lands at your door, then a refill box every 90 days, so the clean never lapses.

Common questions

The questions parents actually ask — about the bacteria, the braces, the teenager you can’t supervise, and whether any of it is your fault.

Talk to a dentist
Are cavities actually contagious?

The decay itself isn’t, but the bacteria that drive it are transmissible — Streptococcus mutans and its relatives pass between people on saliva, which in a household means shared spoons, tasted bottles, blown-on food and ordinary affection. It’s well documented and it is not a sign anyone did anything wrong; it’s how mouths get colonised. The useful part is what follows from it: if a parent’s own bacterial load is high, treating that is a genuine part of the child’s prevention, not a separate errand. That’s the whole reason this membership is built around a household rather than a person.

My kid already has a cavity. Is that my fault?

No, and we’d rather say that plainly than let you sit with it. Cavity risk is a mix of inherited saliva chemistry, bacterial load, how often the mouth is in an acid window, and plain luck — brushing is one input among several, and the families we hear from are almost never careless. What actually changes the next five years isn’t working out who’s to blame, it’s knowing which of those inputs is doing the damage in your house. That’s what the quiz is for.

My teenager has braces and I can see white marks around the brackets.

Those are decalcification spots — enamel that has lost mineral where plaque sat against the bracket margin and never got fully brushed away. They’re the most common preventable disappointment of orthodontic treatment, and they matter to you because they show up exactly when the braces come off. A remineralizing routine works alongside your orthodontist, not instead of them: our gel pairs nano-hydroxyapatite with 1,100 ppm fluoride, which is the ordinary over-the-counter strength, and it supports remineralization at the surfaces a toothbrush struggles to reach around hardware. Anything already visible is worth showing your orthodontist too.

Can I add my teenager to my plan?

Yes. A household seat is $39.99/month alongside your own membership, and it gets the same quarterly kit matched to their own quiz answers, plus their own dentist access. You manage the account, and for anyone under 18 a parent or guardian takes part in the teledental visits. A college-age child with a current .edu address qualifies for the $30 student seat instead, which is the cheapest way to cover someone you can’t watch.

I think my teenager is vaping. What does that actually do?

The part most people don’t know is the part worth knowing: nicotine narrows the blood vessels in gum tissue, so gums that would otherwise bleed and warn you stop bleeding — the early signal disappears while the underlying process carries on. Alongside that, vape aerosol is drying, and a mouth with less saliva loses the buffering that keeps acid in check. None of that is a reason for a confrontation. It is a reason to have a baseline, which is what the quiz and the Bio Test give you.

Is this a replacement for taking them to the dentist?

No. OneOral works alongside your dentist rather than instead of one — it’s the part between appointments, which for most families is where the risk actually accumulates. Membership includes unlimited messaging with licensed dentists; a live video or phone visit is a $35 copay. If anything ever looks like it needs an in-person appointment, we’ll tell you so.
