Before you begin
- Consult your dentist before starting any whitening treatment, especially if you have sensitive teeth, gum issues, dental work, or other oral health concerns.
- Use only as directed. 35% carbamide peroxide is a professional-strength gel — do not overuse.
- Store gel in a cool, dry place.
Step-by-step instructions
- 1
Brush and prepare your teeth
Thoroughly brush your teeth with your regular toothpaste. Make sure your teeth are completely dry before applying the gel — saliva can dilute the gel and reduce effectiveness. Gently pat your teeth dry with a clean tissue if needed, and avoid rinsing with water right before application. - 2
Load the trays
Dispense approximately ½ ml of gel per arch (upper or lower tray).- Place small dots or a thin line of gel along the front (facial) surface of the tray where it contacts your teeth.
- Avoid overfilling — excess gel can irritate gums or waste product.
- One syringe typically provides multiple applications — use the markings or estimate carefully.
- 3
Insert the trays
Seat the loaded tray firmly over your teeth. Gently bite down and use your fingers to press the tray into place for a good seal. Wipe away any excess gel that squeezes out onto your gums with a clean finger or tissue — do not swallow. - 4
Wear time
Leave the trays in place for at least 20 minutes. You may wear them up to 30–60 minutes per session if tolerated well (follow your dentist's or product-specific guidance). Do not eat, drink, or smoke while the trays are in. - 5
Remove and clean up
Remove the trays and rinse your mouth thoroughly with water. Clean the trays with cool water and a soft toothbrush or denture cleaner — avoid hot water, which can warp them. Spit out any remaining gel; do not swallow.
After treatment (important)
- Avoid staining liquids for at least 12 hours after each session — coffee, tea, red wine, dark sodas, berries, tomato sauce, and similar items.
- You may eat and drink normally otherwise, but stick to lighter-colored foods and beverages during the whitening period for best results.
- Brush gently after treatment if desired, but wait 30–60 minutes if your teeth feel sensitive.
- Use a desensitizing toothpaste if you experience sensitivity.
Frequency & tips
- Typical regimen: 1–2 sessions per day for 7–14 days, or as recommended by your dentist.
- Results vary by individual — consistent use and good oral hygiene improve outcomes.
- For maintenance: use once or twice a week after the initial course.
- If you experience significant sensitivity or irritation, stop use and consult your dentist.
Safety notes
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
- Not for use by pregnant or nursing individuals without medical advice.
- Carbamide peroxide breaks down into hydrogen peroxide — handle carefully and follow all label instructions.
